His eyes watered with the onslaught of emotion that he felt, “Ren…”
The image of Ren flickered, giving him a tender smile, even as the worry shimmered in his gaze, “We’ve always been with you. You were never truly alone, Aoba.”
“I’m glad… that I could finally meet you,” Sei’s lips upturned as he reached out, caressing Aoba’s cheek with an almost ghost like touch, “You are loved… above all else.”
Even if there was nothing substantial, he knew it was true as his gaze caught the mirror version of himself - the white Aoba. He stared at him with a leveled look, arms crossed, his long silvery hair draped around his shoulders.
Sei glanced toward him, before his smile softened, “He has been a handful, but don’t let him fool you…”
Ren ran his hand down Aoba’s back, giving him a boost of reassurance, “He’s been waiting to meet you too.”
“Aoba,” Sei addressed the white version of himself, ushering him forward, “meet yourself... Aoba.”
Their eyes met and he could feel the tremble deep in his core, and without stopping it, he pulled the other Aoba into his arms, hugging him close and tight, “It's good to meet you.”
