project overload

Jun 16, 2007 21:42

E had gotten up this morning and finished building the dock. I would have thought after working on that for so long in the hot sun he would be worn out.Wrong.
He spots some nice sized branches in the back of a neighbors truck and offers to take them off his hands. So he takes his truck over, gets the wood and proceeds to cut it up and stack it for firewood. Now he should be tired. Wrong.
I go to tell him food is on the grill, only to find him in the garage building a trailer. He had purchased an old boat trailer that tilts and has now transformed it into a flatbed trailer. This will be used for hauling his 4 wheeler and lawn mower. He used some aluminum support rods things he had taken off his last boat to do this project. He comes in to eat..I think , ok, he's done for the day.WRONG.

He is back in the garage building a mobile gas tank from the 40 gallon gas tanks he took off his old boat.

He is trying to use up stuff he has in the garage..so this is why he is doing so much lately. He used the aluminum rods to build his frame for this too. According to him, now he can go 4 wheeling and not have to worry about running out of gas because this thing will have a hitch on it!I am speechless. What will he come up with next..chuckle, chuckle! I can see him now, towing his gas tank behind him.Pulling into the gas station should get him noticed.
It will be great for storing extra gas for the generator and he'll probably figure a way to hook up a direct line .

There are 2 tanks and they are trying to figure out how to have them both attached. Thats 80 gallons of gas! Maybe gas prices will drop and we can stock up.hee hee
He'd have the wheels on, but he says he doesn't have the right nuts. I thought...hmm..I'm looking at 2 nuts right now..:-))

Well I'm going back out there now for entertainment purposes.I'll have my cell phone with me in case I need to call the mental facility.

This is the 20 minute later update:
2nd tank idea has been abandoned. Would cost too much to fill them both up...now they are making a shelf to attach to the top so he can haul stuff on it.E singing to golden oldies on radio.I'm getting some wine .again for entertainment purposes.

Project finished for the night..only because he didn't have nuts for the wheels:-)
