Gushing about Farscape.

So I’m back on Farscape :D  And wow.  I’m watching The Ugly Truth and it’s just such a wonderfully realised concept!!  The writing and direction weaves an interesting web of truth, deception and the subjectiveness of memory, leaving the audience completely baffled as to what really happened.  I love the way it’s done, with each account adjusted to ( Read more... )

This post filled me with so much yay I can't even tell you. YAAAAAAAY!!!!!

Chiana is the BEST. I'm so glad to see another fan. I'm really looking forward to your thoughts on some of her future storylines. And when you're finished with the series I've got a ton of fabulous Chiana/John fics (most of them are set in S4, or an alternate S4). I don't ship them in a traditional sense, but their unique dynamic, bond, and friendship is my favorite on any show ever.

I'm glad! I wish I'd rambled more about Clockwork Nebari because it was just such an excellent episode. Chiana's story gets more compelling each episode, and I love the concept of her race's tyranny and how the show makes comments on oppression and a;ldsfkjas;dlfkkj

Omg that ship. I love it because of how they tread the line between friendship and a sexual relationship - their bond is so beautiful and sometimes completely platonic, but there is so much sexual chemistry there and I love how they flirt with each other. I've had a few friendships like that over the years, and what I like is how the balance could tip either way. I can see them being platonic friends forever, but them sleeping together on a few occasions is totally plausible too. And I love that :D

I need about a million Chiana icons...

A Clockwork Nebari (and the whole concept of the Nebari, and her backstory) is excellent, and so fascinating to me, but I have to warn you that this is the last you'll see of it in canon. There are dozens of fantastic fanfics that deal with the Contagion and Nerri and all the rest, but the show seems to be forever saying "we'll get to that..." and then they never do. It's INCREDIBLY frustrating and I wish I had known my first time through so my hopes weren't dashed episode after episode, waiting for something that wasn't coming.

On the plus side, Gigi never seems to forget, and you can see the marks of her culture, and her rebellion against it, in much of Chiana's behavior.
