Gah! That must've been soooo epic! LOTR:ROTK has always been one of my absolute favorites, and Howard Shore did a marvellous job with the score. It must've been incredible to be there, listening to it live! I know the Sydney Symphony is doing the same - albeit for FOTR, not ROTK - next year. Saddens me to miss out on something so fabulous. But glad you went! :D

I thought of you a lot while I was there :) I'm sure you would have squeed a little when Howard Shore came onto stage at the end ;)

They've actually done it for all three films here, but I only head about the last one. SO very good though, like a whole new film and more!

Awesome, wasn't it? :)

I must say, I was expecting what I got, because I've seen the official Symphony once, a fake Symphony once and just two weeks ago there was a Gala of Film Music in Vienna where Howard Shore was presented with the Max Steiner Award, so it's kinda like been there, done that - except AWESOME. :P

I found bits of it more emotional than I ever have in the films, I think due to the fact that the score was so prominent. It really was AMAZING.
When Howard Shore came out I was like OMG. He was so sweet afterwards as well...well, I told you what he said, lol.
So so so so chuffed he confirmed he's doing the Hobbit too - it just wouldnt be the same if he didn't.

So good to see you, let's definately meet up for dinner and a proper catchup soon :D xx

He's a bad naughty man ;) You are going to have to do what he said though. I'm glad he's on board for the Hobbit as well. Do you think he will dissemble some of the main themes from LOTR so the building blocks of them will be heard in "The Hobbit" - I'm really looking forward to some new themes though, his dragon will be out of this world and I'm really looking forward to what he makes of the wood elves *bounce*

Dinner and stalking please!
