Yesterday was my second oldest grandchild's birthday. Peyton turned 21. We couldn't have the traditional Mexican restaurant meal that we have had since Parker turned six or seven. Fin was very disappointed, but Mabry had bought a sombrero on one of her thrift store outings so we at least got a picture of the birthday boy in it

That said, I'm sure all will be well. You were wearing masks and while it's not an absolute guarantee it does help. I know it's hard not to be concerned, though. I would be.
I have run out of words as regards what is going on in my birth country. As much as I love it and I do, I am very glad to be where I am.
Praying for effective treatment and/or a good vaccine every day.

I can relate to your concern about distancing...we are in Canada but continue to be extremely careful...we Haven’t been out to eat at a restaurant yet. We’ve had take-out and have eaten outdoors but no indoor dining.
Having said that, so glad that your dear grandson was able to have a 21st birthday celebration!

I saw a post on the other site and it looked like a nice party... once you were away from the loud music.
I’m worried also about being among strangers without masks in place. I don’t do much. I do go to my local grocer... wearing a mask... and they are all wearing masks too, so I don’t worry about that venue. My daughter-in-law will be home schooling the grandkids too.
I think we’ll be wearing masks for quite some time... I wish people were more compliant so hopefully the situation could improve!

I've only been in a restaurant once since Covid happened, and I was nervous the whole time. Not going to do that again for a long time!
I hope you're all ok. I've been praying for your protection from the virus ever since I saw your post on Facebook. I'm sure you'll all be fine.
I love live music, but not when it's so loud that you can't hear yourself think.
How does Fin act when he's uncomfortable with loud sounds?
