So, I kept meaning to post about various things and not doing it. The last week has been interesting. Because I talk to long, most of this will go behind cuts.

( I complain about the cable company, and get a little bit excited about our new service )

Glad you're liking DirecTV.

X-Men, so far, is my favorite movie of the year (not tough, given it's competition for me is Scream 4 and Transformers 3). I was kind of expecting them to take a movie or two before jumping into the big Charles/Erik split, but I don't mind the way it turned out.

TV is awesome, except I'm so far behind on so many things, that it's kind of weird to be jumping in on some of them.

I liked X-Men a lot. It worked for me, I just think I could have liked it better. But then, there aren't many perfect movies out there. I suspect I'll be taking Dad to Captain America for his birthday, but I don't know for sure yet. I'm not overwhelmed with anticipation for it, but I like the idea of seeing it more than I did Thor, so that's a plus.

I don't know, I kind of think that all telecom companies suck. I'm liking the television selection at DirectTV, but there are other issues, and they aren't solving my internet issue. I didn't know that Sunflower was bought out.

Dad is so very easy to deal with for gifts. I usually get him some kind of actual physical gift (though it's still often a DVD) for Christmas, but it's a movie every year for Father's Day and his birthday. Easy to do, and often involves something I'll enjoy too.
