Have you tried gargling with warm or hot slat water? Works miracles for me.

I've tried regular water, salt water, and cayenne pepper. I think I've coughed my throat raw, so gargles don't work any more :(

I haven't seen him for a while, so I doubt it. Besides, I think it's allergy related :(
