One of the POD People

Has anyone ever used PODS for storage or moving? www.pods.com They seem very resonable, to the point it scares me just a little. Any references would be appreciated.

I don't know anyone personally who has used it, but I also haven't heard any bad things about them - if that means anything.

Oh, and I've seen them parked outside in some of our wealthy neighborhoods :D

Never have... but I totally heart the name!

My former neighbor used one of those companies. Can't remember if it was Pods or not. They worked pretty good. I must caveat this by saying my former neighbor only moved three blocks to buy a house of her own, so it would be pretty difficult to damage anything in that timeframe. But she seemed satisfied (in that I've never heard her complain about it).

I think that maverick1303 used them, or something very close when he moved to Delaware.

Worth asking him, anyways.

I've never used them, but on the other hand when bigbadwolfca and I moved to CA from Boston area we hired movers. That was a complete nightmare - the expense, the length of time it took for our stuff to arrive, the damage done to our belongings, and did I mention the expense? If I had to do it again I would use the Pod. You pack it yourself, so you have more control.
