Simon was probably too compassionate for his own good, but that's one of the exact qualities that made for such a good doctor. He'd made a mental note to keep an eye on the young earl after that first encounter. Being kidnapped by fae and brought to some backwater village was bad enough for an adult, but for a child?

Well, there weren't many children in Demeleier, especially blond children. Though Simon does a bit of a double-take at seeing Alois in a dress, he does still recognize the boy.

Simon stands quietly for a moment, watching, then lightly clears his throat. "Earl Trancy ... would you be in need of some assistance?"

At the sound of his title and name, Alois went frigid - but only for a split second. Soon enough he was turning his head around to face the man that had come to help him the evening he'd arrived. Simon Tam, wasn't it? The doctor.

The pale in his hand is heavy, yes, but not as heavy as he makes it seem. Right now, the weight is unbearable.

"I'm trying to ready a bath." He starts, pouting already as his shoulders sag, one of the straps of the dress slipping down slightly on one. Endearing, that's what he's aiming for, but in all honesty, he doesn't have to try very hard.

After all, he does feel like complete and utter shit.

A bath? Simon supposes it's a reasonable enough pursuit, given the circumstances. He nods.

"Ah. Well, there is a bath house in the village. Perhaps that might be an easier solution? I'd be happy to show you where it's located."

"A Bath House?" He almost nearly drops the bucket at that, but manages to set it down instead, eying the man curiously. A bath house sounded, well, inviting...but it could also very well be dingy and dirty.

"But I've no money for a bath house...and what if the water is dirty? I don't want to bathe in water others have cleaned themselves in."

Simon smiles patiently at the boy. "Nobody here has money. The bath house is free and open to all, and I can assure you, it's ... hygienic." Maybe not up to operating room standards of cleanliness, but sufficient enough for a backwater village like Demeleier, anyway. "And it's very well-maintained."
