PHASE THREE: THE TEMPLE svelldrottning August 17 2011, 15:29:25 UTC
She landed heavily on the roof of the temple, her claws scoring deep into the stone. It was even more obvious here; if this was not the home of the creature which had attempted to capture her, then it was a place of great importance to them.

Roaring, she barked out another humourless laugh. Her claws raked deep into the building and she tore out a chunk of the stone. The ground shook; she could feel it even from her perch on top of the place, and it only made her attack with more fervour.

At first, Sebastian didn't really care about what was happening around him. He had just arrived in Demeleier and it wasn't like if anyone or anything had importance for him, not yet anyway. But the noises had interested him enough to go out of his croft and climb on its roof.

And the deadly beauty of the skeletal dragon had struck him. He couldn't stop to admire its movements, graceful despise its size. He had never seen anything like this before. Truly fascinating.

Then there was the screams, the scent of fear, of blood. Of death. Hunger and excitement started to run through Sebastian, invading every fiber of his body, of his brain. He had missed the battlefield, he needed to feel the bones crack under his fingers, the taste of blood in his mouth. His demonic eyes were burning and he licked his lips, his tongue slightly brushing against his fangs ( ... )

One more jumping into the battle was nothing to Sindragosa. She slashed with her claws, and smashed her tail against the walls of the Temple. With each smack, more cracks appeared in the weakened stone and more tremours shook the earth.

Twisting, she reared up on her back lags, raking down with her claws even as she opened her mouth and breathed a blizzard of sharp ice down on her attackers.

When Sebastian arrived at the Temple, others were already there, fighting the dragon. It was surprising and interesting to see so much different beings, wielding so much different powers or weapons. But he didn't have much time to think about that. The most important now was to stop the enemy.

Jumping on the side just in time to avoid the ice attack, Sebastian snapped his fingers, creating a spark with his demonic magic. He loved to manipulate fire, the destruction he could bring with it. Aiming at the dragon, he blew on the spark, changing it into a deadly column of flames. But in vain. It didn't even reach the top of the Temple, dying almost as soon as it was born. What was that now ?

Alright. Plan B then... It wasn't the moment to be frustrated about some weak magic, even if it was worrying. He maybe wasn't able to use it now but he wasn't without ressources. Maybe a direct attack would work better ( ... )

Junpei was late to the party, having first secured Chidori's safety before rushing off to this battle himself. He may not have been under the direction of one of the SEES leaders, but that didn't mean he was about to sit back when there was a major fight afoot. He could handle himself, and if ever there was a time to prove it, that time was now.

Reaching the battlefield in what he thinks must be record time (for him, anyway), Junpei slows to pick up a downed branch in his path and catch his breath. Even if it's not metal, the branch is sturdy enough, and fits well in his hand. He feels a little better about charging into this fight with two weapons - better than just the one, right?

As he catches sight of the dragon's ice attack, Junpei swiftly pulls his Evoker from its holster and holds it to his temple. Heh, he thinks, grinning to himself in spite of the very real danger before him, let's fight ice with fire.

"Persona!" The sound of the shot rings out, and Trismegistus springs forth, leveling a concentrated burst of flame at the

Seemed like Yamamoto wasn't the only one late to the party. It wasn't hard to find the battle anyway; kinda hard to miss a dragon. But getting people to safety always seemed like first priority, especially when he knew people like Aureln would be taking care of the dangerous bits.

But he wasn't one to miss a good fight when he could, and he was getting rusty.

He had never fought a dragon before.

He slid into the battle and pulled his Shigure kintoki out of his equipment bag. A small blue flame appeared just in time for him to swing his sword, shedding its shinai appearance and taking the form of a katana coated in blue flame. A shiba inu barked at his heels, a swallow perched on its head.

"Hope I'm not too late," he says to no one in particular as he prepares to join the fray.

Junpei nods appreciatively at Yamamoto's entrance and SWEET GEAR, a small grin stretched across his face.

"Heh, I think the party's just gettin' started, dude." He glances back to Sindragosa, taking a moment to size her up. It's not like he hasn't fought his fair share of big nasties before, but it's pretty obvious this dragon isn't gonna go down easily.

Starting, Sindragosa twisted, her wings bending back and beating at her back. They couldn't reach whatever had landed on it, and she bellowed with fury and reached up to swipe at the nuiscience with her claws. This left her open to the attacks - the wind, the fire, the blessings, the curses, the blades and the bullets - and she screamed in pain and fury.

"Suffer, mortals," she howled, "As your pathetic magic betrays you!" The Unchained Magic struck out at the spellcasters, and her icy aura at those attacking her physically.

Her claws grazed over her own spine as she swiped at Sebastian on her back, which left her more than open to a strike from the front.

Sebastian ran along her spine, biting and scratching everything he could. He enjoyed the feeling, the adrenaline rushing into his blood. 'Battle' should be his second name.

Given the attacks hitting her, he was glad to see that his plan worked. Sindragosa was trying to catch him but he always escaped her claws, jumping around, careful to also avoid the attacks of the others. They seemed to have noticed him though.

But luck suddenly ran out as, for a moment, he forgot his powers malfunction. His speed decreased but not Sindragosa's and one of her claws grabbed him by his leg, sending him fly away. He hissed and miaowed in pain before his body changed back into his human form. He hit the stone wall of the Temple and heavily fell on the ground.

Sebastian groaned, feeling the taste of blood in his mouth. It wasn't supposed to be his blood, it wasn't supposed to end like that. He looked up at the dragon but a black veil was already covering his eyes.

Truthfully, it was somewhat hard for Chell to ignore those who had their own abilities, but it wasn't the time to observe. Instead, the woman continued dodging debris and attacks, at least until she found an opening where she would be of some use.

A shape suddenly was flung from the creature's back, becoming larger and more human shaped before colliding into the side of the temple. And staying on the ground. Too close to the dragon and any debris that might come crashing down. A portal appeared on the wall, showing a green field littered with stone before Chell stepped through it.

Crouching next to a rather beat-up man, she lightly pulled at one of his arms. If she had to, she would carry him through the portal.

Shadowform licks the contours of her body like a dark fire, empowering her, shielding her. How easy it is to lose herself in its incorporeal embrace. With a soft, happy sigh, she throws up her damage over time spells, a shiver of delight sliding down her spine like a caress as the ticks count down to the demand of some invisible clock, bringing with them heavy damage every passing second. A wide smile lights up her face, her felfire green eyes glowing in the heavy veil of Shadowform, and she gathers herself up to cast Mind Blast, letting it roll off the tips of her fingers to connect with its target in a shower of twisting, purple smoke ( ... )

Yamamoto barely had a chance to react to Junpei before the dragon took action again. He didn't really have time to think either, or even plan much of a strategy. It was obvious enough that Sindragosa's attacks were heavily ice-based, so it didn't seem like a smart idea to create a rainfall...as helpful as the tranquility could be. It left him at a slight disadvantage, but he could make do ( ... )

The tremors alone knocked Chell to her feet; she had quickly retreated to the structure when the chaos began in the village. She was well aware of her limits, and anything more complicated than the round spherical things full of bullets was beyond them. However, it seemed the safe haven was not so safe after all.

The laugh itself chilled the woman to her bone...as did the falling stone around her. She stumbled her way outside, finding herself standing in the middle of a giant shadow cast on the ground. Turning to face the temple, Chell was entirely unprepared to see the giant beast atop it.

Luki raced slightly ahead of Val and Dante, eager to play with the new arrival but still mindful not to get too far ahead of her adopted siblings. She has a brief, flickering thought as she draws to a halt and waits for the other two to catch up, another wish that Noki was here by her side right now - they'd never been apart for a playdate like this before, after all - but it's short-lived once she catches sight of Sindragosa.

"Oooh," she murmurs, a little breathless. "I can really play with it? I really can?" She glances back over her shoulder and Val and Dante, grinning. "I want to play with the fun puppy!"

When Dante had offered helping Val with the sweetheart of a Luki she had, he hadn't expected having their playtime interrupted by a huge dragon. Truth be told, the devil-boy was excited. He hadn't had much action when it came to battle and as far as he was concerned, the bigger the adversary was, the harder they fell.

Here's to hoping I don't have to jump out of big eyeball's today, he thought to himself heaving a chuckle as he walked a grin permanently on his face.

"Easy princess, we'll play with the puppy, all right." He responded turning to Valeria who was walking by his side. "I bet it tastes good once you throw it on a grill."
