First, the ground will rumble. Those closer to the forest will hear a great creaking and groaning sound, and the rustling of many leaves. The canopy will roll like waves of a stormy sea, and then abruptly stop.

Nine trees will depart from the forest, moving over the ground with a smooth gait, as if gliding. They have all taken humanoid features - branches that serve as arms, trunks that split to legs and roots that spread like feet, leaves and moss creating hair or bears over faces both gnarled and craggy or smooth and unmarked. Their high stretching backs trunks and branches continue to rise above these features, giving a strange look - as though giants are trying to move out of the bark of a living tree.

High up on the branches, among green fans of the oak, sits the faery queen. Her hair is entwined with flowers and leaves. Her bare skin is beautifully speckled, like light dappling through a forest canopy. She is breathtakingly beautiful, and radiates a dangerous, enthralling power - a charm, a draw, a pull towards her. In her arms, she carries a slender sapling.

The group makes its way to the village square, where the tree people root themselves down and remain unmoving, the breeze only gently stirring their leaves.
