I've heard of the women who came for abortions; the very Christian women who didn't believe their daughters would ever become pregnant by some jerk, the poor women who can't afford another child and can't adopt one out, the frightened teens who give birth and dump their own child in a dumpster.
And I've heard the "pro-life" people preaching hate and destruction, sometimes on national TV shows, sometimes in Catholic churches.
There isn't a lot of peace out there, and maybe because there isn't a lot of understanding. Peace does not passeth understanding; it requires understanding. And we're not all that understanding or smart these days, collectively, as a people.
