Ok first of all i was stopped while playing guitar in the downtown skywak. approach by two uniformed police officers who notified me i cant be playing there. i ask why.. and they show me this piece of paper which states ( Read more... )

I say you fight it. Get your own legal piece of paper that says you can busk, or look up your rights so you can defend yourself. I wonder who called the men to your attention anyways? And also, if you were being aggressive, why would people WANT to be around you?

yeah thats just the thing.. there are busking liscences but you are only permited to using them at the Forks market etc..
they used to have busk stops in portage place n such but they took them all out.

under current law im allowed to busk in public places.
the skywalk is public :D

its just confusion between busking/panhandling thats all.. there is a difference that people arent aware of.
if i bring all of this up the next time someone stops me and they still hassle me i will know that its more about power hungry authorities rather than the constitution.
