Thought for the day.
Being a librarian is being several people at once - knowledgable professional, sympathetic acquaintance, detective, friend. Among other things. It is demanding in a way that few other public service positions are. As a coworker said: "I've always thought librarianship was like teaching or working with the clergy. That kind of public servant."

I prefer Mr. Gunn's approach to fashion over the irrepressible Stacie (or however she spells herself) and Clinton (althoug I adore him as an individual). He does not so much construct a look for someone, but rather looks at what they have, who they are, and banishes that which is not true ( Read more... ) -

Another mass update
1) I have new glasses. They are sexy. I am still reconciling myself to the fact I went and fell in love with Versace frames, but the fact I feel like the dangerously pretty librarian everyone says I am in them is a vastly comforting mitigating factor.
