Well, that really reaffirms my faith in human nature. And by "human nature" I mean that the vast majority of people are weasels.

So what's the plan now that your move-in date's been pushed back?

*comforts* definately a yucky position to be in.

I don't know how well you know Rachel or how well Rachel feels she knows you or not. However, I would recommend a good dose of patience and understanding. She was probably in a panic and can't figure out where her stuff has gone to. You, unfortunately, were/are an easy target consequently. Specially, I bet, if she doesn't feel like she knows enough to trust you to not steal (or maybe her roommate's judgement on trustworthy friends?).

Maybe you can talk to her after she has calmed down and tell her you didn't take her stuff and you would like to try and help her find it. Whatever you do, you don't want to put her on the defensive though.

Hope you get it all straigtened out.

I lived next door to this girl freshman year. I moved out actually. I'm living with another friend who has a suitemate but I've only ever seen him once and he seemed nice enough. I have a backup place to live should this turn out to be bad (don't think it will though) so I'm not worried anymore. I just have to get by this next week and all should be well.
