I took myself on a date today. Not in the literal sence, but I just went out by myself, and did my own thing. I got some books from the library and camped out in a Starbucks to read them. It's good to be able to live inside yourself sometimes, instead of placing your self worth on others

I've been thinking a lot about religion lately too, and have begin to see it all as very negative. Christianity especially. They operate behind a guise of unity with God and each other, but has religion ever delievered this promise? No.
Religion only seperates us, and not only that, but often times forces us to comply to Dogma that we may disagree with. Or, prevents a spiritual journey from ever taking place.
If you tell yourself that all of the answers are right there in one book, then there is no room to question.
I think that I always inherrently believed that about organized religion. As a child I always hated its restrictive, stringent and downright controling nature. I could never accept that someone was any more divine or gifted than the people around me. Why are there suddenly no saints and no miracles?, why couldn't any person claim to have god ( ... )

I have a do-it-yourself religion too. I think that people personify god when they can't handle their own power. Think of it as Windows for the universe. easy to understand, but not at it's full potential.
