what is your favorite book? Probably either The Kite Runner or The Bell Jar.

what is your favorite book series? Harry Potter is, and will always be, my favorite.

what are you currently reading? Right now, I'm reading the fourth book in the Sword of Truth series (meh, it's okay), but only because I'm waiting for my library to get A Clash of Kings, which is the second book in A Song of Ice and Fire series, and quickly becoming one of my favorite things ever.

Sword of Truth! You're not big on the 4th one? It's my 2nd favorite of the series, after 6, which basically has this one part that is pretty much perfection. What makes it meh, just wondering?

Oh, I meant the whole series is sort of meh, lol. I started it after I watched Legend of the Seeker (have you seen that?), and I like it, but certain things...grate on my nerves. Goodkind's excessively detailed writing. Goodkind's dialogue (my goodness, I have never seen such triteness). Richard's ridiculous, over-the-top Gary-Stuness. Kahlan's utter neediness (despite having the potential to be utterly badass; what she did in Book 2 to fight that Imperial Army Order was out-of-this-world badass). The flatness of some of the minor characters (I can't tell Raina, Berdine, and Cara apart). Goodkind's need to have every character touch their hair every other page. The fact that characters cry all the timeThe plot moves along quite nicely, though, and the book is quite compelling, which is what keeps me reading ( ... )

First things first, don't even worry about ragging on the series. It might be a favorite of mine but it's far from my all time favorite and really my favorite thing about it is the characters and there are parts that make me love it ( ... )

"A Wrinkle In Time" is my all-time favorite book, followed closely by "A Swiftly Tilting Planet." Madelaine L'Engle was a brilliant woman, and my writing remains influenced by hers.

Favorite book series? Harry Potter. Duh. Harry Potter is the best book ever written. (I've been convinced of this since the first grade, and it hasn't changed at all.)

Um. Currently? Three Black Swans by Caroline Cooney. I don't like the pacing much. Oh, and Melissa Marr's Fragile Eternity, which is pretty but boring. (Seth and Niall need to get it on next book or I'm ditching her.)

Thanks! I really enjoy coming back to it, because every time I read it, it gets better.
