Ok, claim got approved over at 1sentence so here goes nothing, I guess.

Fandom: Phantasy Star Online
Pairing: Raven Petalas x Lucius Rille
Theme set: Gamma
Rating: PG
Warning[s]: Implications of slash.
Notes: These mostly take place in Episode 1, with a few in Episode 2. Raven is a HUmar (Hunter/Human/Male) and Lucius is a FOmar (Force/Human/Male).

1 Ring
Mote-like rings of sparkling energy remained glowing before his eyes as Raven stumbled backward out of the telepipe; even though they were safely back aboard Pioneer II, he still clutched Lucius tightly against him.

2 Hero
“Shut up!” Raven roared, though his sudden furious outburst did not succeed in driving the annoyingly persistent Lucius away, “I'm not some kind of hero, so stop acting like I am!”

3 Memory
“I can barely remember what life was like before Pioneer 2,” Raven admitted, leaning back against the ground to stare up into the blue sky, toward the home they had left behind; Lucius laughed softly, but Raven wondered if he didn't feel the same homesickness somewhere underneath that calm exterior.

4 Box
Lucius cried out, and Raven looked up just in time to catch him before the momentum of his fall knocked them both to the ground; Raven glared angrily up at where Lucius had fallen from, then asked in disbelief, “You fell going after boxes?!”

5 Run
“Run, you idiot!” Raven roared, catching Lucius by the sleeve and dragging him forward out of the laser sight, hoping against hope that they would be able to outrun the crazy machine.

6 Hurricane
“We should get out of here!” Lucius shouted, fingers brushing lightly against Raven's arm as he leaned in closer, his voice still nearly lost in the vicious Gal da Val wind that whipped through their hair and clothes.

7 Wings
"Did you ever notice that your Rati looks like wings?" asked Lucius with a faint smile; Raven glared at him for a moment then turned away, unable to find a response to what he deemed an incredibly stupid sentiment.

8 Cold
As he inched his way cautiously through the darkened corridor, Raven could feel Lucius following close behind him, an almost welcome bit of warmth amid the eerie chill of the caves.

9 Red
Raven raised an eyebrow; he had thought that it would be impossible for Lucius to look less masculine than he normally did, but those rich red robes, edged in extravagant lacing and ruffles, definitely proved him wrong.

10 Drink
Raven stared disgustedly around the tea-shop, scowling instead of even trying the tea Lucius had bought for him; this was the kind of frilly café that seemed made for strange people like Demi and Lucius, not someone with a warrior's disposition.

11 Midnight
The seaside was beautiful even in the darkness, Raven decided, looking out over the starlit waves with Lucius standing quietly at his side; it may even have been worth sneaking into the lab after-hours.

12 Temptation
While he was sorely tempted to abandon that useless Force and return to Pioneer II, Raven knew his guilty conscience would never let him go through with it; he kicked a random piece of broken machinery out of frustration, before stomping back to where he had left Lucius.

He may have been well aware that he was an opinionated bastard, but it still infuriated Raven when Lucius pointed it out.

14 Music
“Ugh,” grumbled Raven, covering his ears and glaring at Lucius across a table laden with desserts, flowers, and an elaborate tea set, “How can you stand to listen to this crap?”

15 Silk
Raven wondered if Lucius' long hair really felt as silky soft as it looked; then his brain kicked in and he furiously, if silently, berated himself for even thinking such stupid thoughts.

16 Cover
Lucius' apartment was filled with so many books that Raven couldn't help but wonder what they were for; he gingerly picked one up and examined it, but it was covered in archaic symbols, and he couldn't begin to comprehend it.

17 Promise
Lucius merely laughed at Raven's outrage, delightedly quipping, “Promise me you'll never change!”

18 Dream
Killing monstrous beast after beast, Raven's entire body ached from the battle; he couldn't remember how long they had been fighting, but Lucius had been right when he called this place an endless nightmare.

19 Candle
Raven couldn't help but stare at the green candles glowing softly on the table, baffled that anyone, even Lucius, would use something so outdated.

20 Talent
Lucius only had one talent, Raven decided, and that was getting himself into dangerous situations he couldn't get out of.

21 Silence
He wanted to hate Lucius, to hurt him, to scream at him for being stupid, for putting himself in unnecessary danger, but no words came to Raven - only silence and the frantic pounding of his heart.

22 Journey
Lucius had to admit he found it amusing that something as simple as a request for help at the Hunter's Guild had turned into so much more: Raven's slow journey, one of discovery and acceptance, among other things, and one which would perhaps take a lifetime, but one of which Raven still did not seem fully aware.

23 Fire
Raven groaned softly, vaguely aware that Lucius was at his side supporting him as he dragged himself back to his feet; he glanced up, and as he watched, flames danced along Lucius' delicate fingertips, swirling out around them and forcing the swarm of dimenians back.

24 Strength
“I think it has more to do with aim than the strength or weakness of the gun,” Lucius admitted, actually looking somewhat embarrassed as he examined his handgun; Raven stared for a moment, then continued walking down the corridor, shaking his head in disbelief and grumbling about his “amazingly incompetent partner”.

25 Mask
Raven yanked Lucius out the way of the rocks tumbling down around them as the monstrous centipede clawed its way overhead; he fumed, “This thing doesn't even die if you cut its face off?”

26 Ice
Perhaps Lucius wore blue, Raven thought irritably, because he was like ice - cold and strangely beautiful, but easily broken.

27 Fall
Silence reigned between falling droplets of water, eerie and encompassing, then, the wet rustling of Lucius' long robes, and footsteps rattling on a grated floor just slightly above the standing water; staring out into the sea did little to relieve the claustrophobia Raven felt pressing in on him within those narrow, dingy corridors.

28 Forgotten
He had no answer when Raven demanded to know why he had led them to this dark, forgotten corner of the ruins; perhaps he really was lost, but Lucius could have sworn that something was there...

29 Dance
When Lucius said that Raven danced with his swords, Raven decided that Lucius was crazy and it might be better to just ignore him; fighting was fighting and there was no point in comparing it to anything else.

30 Body
The steady pulsing, almost heartbeat-like rhythm of the ruins made Raven uneasy - it was like being inside the body of some huge, indescribable monster; but if Lucius was unafraid there was no way Raven was going to admit to such ridiculous hesitation.

31 Sacred
This was once a holy place, Raven thought, pausing briefly before he followed Lucius deeper into the ruins.

32 Farewells
He knew that he probably should have severed any ties then and there, but Raven felt compelled to give Lucius his Guild Card instead.

33 World
There was a whole new world out there for him to explore, and wouldn't he just have to be assigned an idiot for a partner?

34 Formal
The message did not sound like a formal Guild quest, but from the look lingering on Lucius' face, Raven knew that it must be a genuinely serious matter.

35 Fever
Rage burned inside of Raven; he wanted to fight, to kill something, if just to stop thinking about that idiot Force.

36 Laugh
“You can't be serious,” Raven sneered, managing to hold back a laugh despite Lucius' hurt expression, “You honestly think that a pathetic Force like you could be of any help to me?”

37 Lies
Lucius had told him so many lies that Raven was beginning to wonder if anything he said was actually true.

38 Forever
The ruins seemed to stretch on infinitely in front of them and behind them; Raven really hoped that Lucius knew where they were supposed to be going, because he was already lost.

39 Overwhelmed
Raven met Lucius' glance with an angry glare before lowering his blades and stalking off down the hall; he would have done anything but admit that the delsabers might have been to much for him without Lucius' last-minute icy assistance.

40 Whisper
Lucius smiled slightly as he leaned down, allowing that obnoxious little Newman girl to whisper in his ear; he glanced over, and Raven abruptly turned away, his face reddening inexplicably as he felt those dark eyes on him.

41 Wait
Raven looked away, adjusting his swords and wishing that guilt wasn't gnawing at him; he had not expected Lucius to actually wait for him.

42 Talk
“Don't say a word,” Raven grumbled, glaring out through the wet, muddy curtain of his hair; Lucius made a valiant effort not to show his amusement at Raven's fall, but a smile still played about his lips as he offered Raven a hand.

43 Search
Various unsettling noises clattered around them, presumably pieces of machinery continuing about their business even after the demise of their creators; Raven wondered vaguely what the Guild was looking for in such a dismal place, but he knew better than to expect any sort of real explanation from Lucius, even if he asked.

44 Hope
"I believe that we will be able to live on Ragol someday," Lucius said, leaning closer to the Hunters Guild windows to admire the planet below, while Raven sneered and wondered if he truly believed that or if he was just parroting the Guild's propaganda.

45 Eclipse
Droplets of rain began pelting down on the pair of hunters, ominous clouds rolling in to hide the sun; Raven grumbled to himself - he did not like the prospect of finishing their mission in the midst of a storm, but Lucius barely seemed to notice the weather or his partner's extra grumpiness.

46 Gravity
Taking stock of the beautiful planet around them, Raven felt a rush of exhilaration; when it felt this good to be under real gravity again, did it really matter all that much that the Guild was making him work with a pathetic Force?

47 Highway
“This can't be good,” Raven grumbled, shoving Lucius safely behind him before peering into the massive pipeline; it certainly looked as though they had found the escape route of the missing “experiment”.

48 Unknown
"No one knows where this leads," Lucius said, hesitating, but Raven grabbed his wrist and pulled him through the teleporter anyway.

49 Lock
Raven wondered how Demi continued to get into Lucius' apartment when there was nothing wrong with the lock; he didn't understand why Lucius allowed it, or why it made him feel so defensive, almost protective, of the other man.

50 Breathe
It hurt so much, everywhere; Raven choked, gasping as that soft white light of Lucius' gentle Resta enveloped him, capably cast despite the way Lucius trembled, clinging to Raven, shuddering breaths betraying his fear.

I'm thinking of doing sketches to go along with these someday. We'll see.

It feels so weird to be done.
