The book in the background is called "Germ" and it's by... Robert LiParulo.
Fortunately, I finished it the same day I started it, but unfortunately it was not very well written. I found that the Doctor/Priest/Martial Arts Master character was a tad bit unbelievable. I mean, I know having a doctor in a tough situation is great, but having a doctor who's also unbearably nice AND ALSO can kick the crap out of a trained assasin?
However, it does have a very neat cover, which is the reason I bought it.
(And yes, I DO have lambchop bedsheets, thank you very much)
