Ahh! I noticed their having to temporarily stop the website yesterday and I guess I now know why! Ha ha, good for them in a way! Watching that news clip was pretty interesting.

I really like Lang-8, I've been using it again recently. How do you personally learn from it exactly? As in, when you see the corrections... what do you do about them? - If you don't mind my asking, of course.

I copy and paste them all into my LiveJournal and then write an English translation of it all, to try and understand the impact of the corrections - why they may've said something else - as otherwise I don't really learn from it at all (I write what I intended to say or what I nonsensically said, then what the correction says to my understanding). For example:

日本語を一年半間勉強してきた後でも、まだ私は2歳児の語彙力があります。

Ha ha, yeah.. I can understand that. I had a Japanese blog for a while to interact with people (the site sadly closed down though!). It was awesome. But I am also lazy. Hell, I don't even recall the last time I picked up a Japanese learning book! =( I am not too good at formally self-studying. S'why my knowledge on the entire language is so tiny and I so wish I had money for a tutor! I'm currently working on improving my vocab. the most though, walking around speaking to myself and naming things. Taking note of words I don't know, trying to make sure I later get them to stick in my head and so forth ( ... )
