Andrew Barr said yesterday that six kids from the 700 at Kingsford Smith had been involved in a bullying incident this year. That makes 0.86%. The national average is 27.7%. I think he might have been misinformed.
Bullying is a very broad term, perhaps he just meant to imply a specific type of bullying (resulting in injury or something)? Or maybe just 6 where reported to teachers? Or maybe it is just a really good school for not having much bullying?
a quick web search 'andrew barr bullying' through up 19,400 results, with the title "Barr rejects school bullying claims" up the top. So, nah, reasonable explanations improbable.
