What happens in that episode? That's the one with pseudo-Chauvelin's daughter, isn't it?
I don't think he does, either - he is definitely impressed by Gabrielle Damiens in Mam'zelle Guillotine, particularly when she beats seven bells out of him in the square (all part of his cunning plan!), but I don't think it went beyond a kiss or two. Why on earth would he? Plus, the Baroness was far too much of a romantic to suggest that her hero would be unfaithful, even for the good of the cause. Also, I think that the Baroness based the Blakeneys' marriage on her own, which is why their relationship is convincing. Sorry, I don't mean to sound so outraged!

Mimicking Bond ruined the Pimpernel - he's vicious, relies on gadgets and violence, works primarily alone, and has no sense of romance. And they even killed Marguerite off in the second series to make him even more like Fleming's ( ... )
