The villains totally always have the best songs, though. Except maybe in Aladdin - but my soft spot for "A Whole New World" is vast.
Hunch Back of Notre Dame was a weird experience. I COULD NOT BELIEVE they had a priest-type guy singing passionately about how he wants to have wild sex with a woman. At age 14 or 13 I seriously felt like I might be too young for that, and my one sister watched the movie when she was in her 20s, and also felt like she might have been too young for that. Ooh, yes, the Prince Ali reprise. It was clever to turn the song around that way, and I love that one too.
Watch it again! Although I'm not sure if Disney hasn't removed or toned down the scene of uncontrollable priestly desire.
Glad to hear you want to read it. :D I think we read the same fanfic, and it was practically scene-for-scene the same as the first book in the series. You'll be fine starting with Queen of Attolia, or even just skimming the fanfic to make sure of events.
