Chris: *I went to see the Almighty to ask if I could visit Hugh in his place of seclusion. Because I am one of the Risen, I was allowed to, so I found myself on the beach, standing in front of a small house. I walk up and knock on the door, then go stand on the sand and wait for Hugh*
Hugh: *wanders out of the beach house, pleasantly surprised* Chris, mate! Good to see you!
Chris: *grins cheekily* Oh come on, man, don't I get a hug? If Nick and I hadn't Risen, you and Orli wouldn't have realized how you felt!
Hugh: *Laughs heartily and hugs you tightly, releasing you with a pat on the back* Yes, you are right. I owe you everything for that. And how are you and Nick doing?
Chris: *grins, beaming* We're, um... We're getting married at the end of July.
Hugh: *My jaw drops* You're what? I mean....wow! *I can't help hugging you again, chuckling and shaking my head* First you disappear from Hell, and now you bring back the best news ever! This calls for a celebration, mate!
Chris: This is the ring he got me. *shows it to you* It's a wolf's head. *I can't help but keep grinning* I actually wanted to ask you if you'd like to be involved in the wedding. As my best man.
Hugh: *I stare at you, shocked, then look down at the ring, amazed, before looking up at you* Uh, wow. I mean, wow, mate. I'd....I'd be honoured. Really, really honoured.
Chris: *I grin* So you'll do it, then? I wanted to ask you because you were one of the few people I actually got along with down in Hell.
Hugh: *I return your grin with an even broader one* Mate, I'd be looney to say no. It's such a huge honour, you know? And yeah, I was really worried about you once you and Nick vanished. But glad to hear all's well....better than well, in fact.
Chris: *I turn pink* We were sent to this tiny little cabin in Colorado, where we live now. *I grin again* You and Orli should come visit sometime when you're out of seclusion. *I chuckle* And there's a fifth demon who Rose now. He fell in love with an angel.
Hugh: *My eyes almost pop out of my head* WHAT? Wow, we've missed a lot. Viggo must be pissing himself. *I grin at the thought of that* But yeah sure, Orli and I would love to pop by. Who are you inviting to the wedding?
Chris: *I sigh* Pretty much anyone who wants to come, but we're trying to limit the number of demons. The Risen are invited, obviously... Um, a lot of the angels are invited, we're actually thinking of having Sean do the ceremony.
Hugh: Sean? Ah, that's a good choice. It will be quite an interesting wedding. *I wince a bit as I realise I still don't quite like angels, but it wasn't so bad as last time* Well, I would be....*SO* glad to do the honours. Cheers, mate. And congratulations!
Chris: *I laugh* Oh yeah, this is gonna be interesting. We might ask Irwin to have his crocodile be the ring bearer. *grins* And thanks, I'll pass it along to Nick. *I tilt my head* Got any beer or anything?
Hugh: *I open the door to the beach house wider* Bloody 'ell, what was I thinking, letting you stand out here like that? Sorry, mate! *grabs a beer out of the cooler and passes it to you* We could sit inside and drink, or sit on the beach. And Irwin, eh? Crazy bugger!
Chris: *I grin* Outside is good, I've been in the mountains the last couple of weeks. *I crack open the beer and take a drink* We just think it would be funny if a crocodile comes waddling down the aisle with a ring on top of his head.
Hugh: *I almost choke on my beer, wiping it away with my sleeve as I laugh* Yeah, that would make for one heck of a wacky wedding. Any demons coming, though?
Chris: I was thinking of asking Claudia. She was one of the few who was actually good to me. Maybe JRM and Demon Sean, I'm not sure. Aside from them, no one else. DEFINITELY not Viggo.
Hugh: *I shudder a bit* Yeah, NO Viggo, unless you want your wedding to turn into a bloodbath. *I grin, still honoured at the idea of being your best man* But of course it's going to be perfect. You can't go wrong with ringbearer crocodiles.
Chris: *I shudder as well* Nick made me promise I wouldn't go back down to Hell if I can avoid it, because of Viggo. I'm scared to death of that guy. *I smile as I think about the wedding* I was actually thinking of singing at the reception. I was in an industrial band when I was alive, and Nick knows my music, so it's special for us.
Hugh: *I look impressed* Yeah? We'd love to hear you sing, you know? I play a mean tamborine. But you could probably get one of the crocodiles to do that. But I'm happy for you, mate. Let me know if you need any other help with the wedding....food and such.
Chris: *I nod and finish off my beer* Have you ever heard of Stabbing Westward? And thanks for your offer of help, man. We appreciate it.
Hugh: No worries, mate. And I think I've heard OF your band, but never heard your music. *I shrug apologetically* Sorry about that, but I'll get to listen to your band during the reception, right?
Chris: *I grin* Well, the band's not going to be there, but I will be, and I have instrumental CD's that I used to practice before we disbanded. *smiles softly* There's this one song that I really want to sing, it's called "Angel." Nick said that it reminds him of me, that I'm his angel. *turns pink*
Hugh: *I chuckle at the sight of you blushing* Ahhhh, love. Funny how we demons used to scoff at it, and now we're losing our ruddy minds over it. I'll be looking forward to that song, mate. *I glance at my watch* I'm supposed to cook breakfast for Orli, he's still asleep. Want to stay?
Chris: *I grin* Actually, I've gotta get going, I'm supposed to meet Nick for pizza in Chicago. *hugs you* Was good talking to you, though.
Hugh: *Returns your hug* Yeah, it was really great talking to you too, and hearing your fantastic news. Let us know when you'll need us, then. Take care! *waves*
Chris: *I grin and wave back, disappearing up to Lou Malnati's in Chicago for pizza with my love*
