Timeline: Before running into Sapphire in the netherworld.

Personality: Almaz can be summed up pretty easily, in fact the name given to him through a good chunk of the game does it pretty well: Fake Hero. He is very much an incompetent fail hero wannabe. But, that is not to say he doesn't have the potential. Almaz has a big heart, and noble ambitions, but he brings himself down through his cowardice. Almaz' first reaction to things is to run away as soon as possible, and only when situations involve his princess, does he try and face them. He draws strength form the thought of protecting her, and his feelings for her.
On top of being a coward, Almaz is also easily distracted, things like change on the ground will have him derail a conversation or lose track of what's going on. He does eventually get back to the topic, but he easily takes detours. Despite this, he does tend to be the most focused on a goal than the rest of the party, but this could also be that the main goal affects him the most.
Almaz starts off with the tittle of Wannabe Hero, a title he made himself, this pretty much sums him up. He is a hero and super hero worshiper and fanboy. He reads super hero comics, watches super hero tv and anime, plays super hero games, reads super hero books, if it's about heroes he's probably had contact with it in some way. He bases his entire life on the Hero's Code, and idol worships Aurum a famous hero from his world. But, early on his title is removed, and is replaced with a demon in training one. After this, there are a few changes. His resolve for things weakens a bit, and he is more prone to thinking demonic things as time passes. Though when he realizes how wrong his thoughts might get he stops, it still bothers him greatly they came up at all.
His biggest fear is becoming a demon permanently due to the title switch, and if that happened he would never be able to protect his princess, or be a hero.
Powers & Abilities: Almaz is very much the type of person with more potential than he appears to have. But I will focus on game mechanics.
Almaz has three unique skills to himself, the first is Spinning Sowrdance, which is a take off of Zorro from One Piece. It's a powerful blade attack that can be preformed at range. The second one is Running Crosses, another powerful blade attack involving cutting the very air and summoning down a light show. And then Help Me Goddess which is another powerful none elemental attack.
On top of those he also has basic sword attacks, such as Blade Rush, Hurricane Slash, X-Level Flurry, and potentially more. All are sword attacks, but he can also use spears and guns and gain their special moves as well.
What items will they be bringing with them? His sword, clothes, accessories, his switched title, and some miscellaneous items.
Third-Person Sample:
Another day had passed, and still he didn't have his tittle back. It was starting to feel like it would be near impossible to open up Mao's heart. But, Almaz didn't let that get him down, there was always tomorrow, he would keep trying until this was fixed! He would get his hero title back, go and defeat the overlord, and save the princess! But first, he would get a good nights sleep, there had been a lot of fighting that day and probably much more tomorrow. The life at Evil Academy was very rough.
Now, when Almaz woke up the next day, something was a little off, first, the ground felt bumpier, it was also brighter, and there was a fresh sort of air blowing in his face. If he didn't know any better he would say he was outside somewhere.
Wait, he was outside!
He opened his eyes and looked straight ahead of him. He was on some rubble in the middle of an empty street. This was very obviously not the netherworld....
"Where am I!? Lord Mao...?" He looked to his right, and then to his left after sitting up. No one else was around him. "Is this a dream...?" he despairingly chuckled to himself, slowly getting to his feet.
A small device fell to his feet with a note, he picked it up and flipped it open taking a good look at it.
"I think there's a problem, This is three games back. This thing could never handle the story properly-" before he could continue there was an ominous sound to his side. He jumped with a shriek and turned slowly. Upon seeing the gruesome monster, unlike any he had seen before, he turned with a cry and ran as fast as he could in the opposite direction. Only later would he reflect on how very un heroic like that was.
First-Person Sample:
I don't really understand, what's going on? Is this another netherworld? I'm not really sure exactly how I went to a new one, I was just sleeping fine before waking up here and given this thing. Could this be... one of Lord Mao's experiments? This isn't fair, we don't have time! And that haunting dream, was that a memory? Was he experimenting on me in my sleep? I feel violated!
What am I going to do... I don't want to turn into a demon!
Additional First Person:
What am I going to do, there's only a few hundred hours left.... Can Mao's heart really be opened? What if it's impossible, what if... what if....
Ahhhh! I don't want to be a demon! What will happen to the princess with such a bad ending?
Yes, the princess! I will be strong for, her, I won't lose hope. A hero draws strength from the will to protect. I won't lose hope princess! I will get my title back and everything will be okay!
Another Additional First Person:
Today I set off to defeat the overlord! I finished my hero title, and I think it came out very well. Now that I have it I can make sure the princess will be safe, and won't have to worry about being kidnapped soon. Thanks to issue #29 of Super Hero Aurum's comic, I have a good idea of how to get to the netherworld well! Don't worry Princess, I will protect you, even if I'm just a simple castle guard, today I am now a hero!
