Close the hangar door! I'll tell you if you need to open it up to let us pilots in, but for now, it's way too hassling to leave it open. The switches for that are somewhere at the side.

If they cannot go up, then perhaps they can go down. Far enough away from the cargo bay, but protected enough from the risk of the top deck collapsing on them.
