My prediction is that Vincent's wish to be erased will never be granted. We'll just get the pathos of thinking "Aw, poor Vincey, he seemed like such a heartless, conceited bastard, but it turns out he's a sadsack with a death wish" for a moment before we go back to the regularly scheduled mindf*ckery of Pandora Hearts.
Agree, though, the Yoite similarity is quite blatant. I guess Jun Mochizuki never did claim to be all that original (in that French interview, anyway). I figure she'll give us an interesting twist on the whole thing, so we don't have to go through this whole manga only to find the past rewound, rendering the whole story null and void. Because if she did that, I think it would probably suck.

But wanting his existence erased is his only similarity to Yoite.
I hope it's not granted, though. Because I do not want my OTP threatened like this.
