Drabble [Middles] Changeling
Few understand the nature of the Directions.
Even now, two of our Emperors are young, foolish and vastly inexperienced. Consumed by the beginnings of the emotions they now collect.
But not Crusoe, and certainly not me. We understand the value of control.
I walk with Crusoe, and he is impeccably centered. Never wandering from his path. He has few ticks and it makes him difficult to read.
I know he understands me better than most. It is easy to understand one's opposite.
If we didn't work together, we'd hate each other. But we find balance in the middle.
It seems to work.
