$3000 down, a ton more to go

Dude, what do we *ever* do at megacon? It's just a big dealers room, there's really not much in the way of events. I'm not even buying a pass at all this year, just going to the hotel and convention centre to see people and hang out :)

Makoto and I got weekend passes. Normally I would only get a one-day pass but he's a sci-fi and what not geek as well and there's alot of events and stuff that he's interested in. Sooo.. It all depends on what you plan on doing. :)

this is also true... for me I am inclined to see the dealer's room, but also I'm hesitant about making any big purchases with my buying a house... we'll see how i elect to go, thanks for the input ^_^

How does your credit score go down if too many people check it?

The thought is if you're getting a lot of credit checks you are about to get a bunch of loans or are in trouble/being rejected a lot.

It's a stupid assumption, but it's the way the industry (does/doesn't) work.

yup, alex explained that one pretty well. as it is i'm not gonna go any further than this new lady my uncle referred to me. if she doesn't impress me, then i've got e-loan to fall back on.

I'm debating the same issue. Maybe those of us with nothing to do that are parked at the hotel could go do something off site or just chill at the hotel (board games, pool time). not sure myself, but I also need to make a decisions ASAP.

you know, just chilling at the hotel and doing other things sounds like a good idea. more fun and less restrictive that way
