[ACTION; somewhere in town]

[When Mao got himself some mushrooms a day ago, it wasn't with the intention of eating them. Oh, no, he was going to experiment on them. Unfortunately he left them out in the open where the drone!mom could get to it and use it in his food.]

oh god not again, event: trippin' balls, the hell is this, where is that rival when you need her, uh oh mayfield is screwed, where are my servants, we went through this before!, this is an insult!, someone's high on mushrooms, never eating mushrooms again, dancing at trauma, screw you mayfield, warning: honor student in action

[See Hal. See Hal already in "WTF" mode from the sheer amount of crazy in the town. See Hal then see one of his students, the kid with the unhealthy obsession with comics who wields a sword like he was born with it.

Who....

Who also happens to be running at him screaming and brandishing the aforementioned sword.

Hal backpedals and, when he realizes trying to dodge will likely get a limb lopped off, meets the blade with a shield of hard, green light.]

[Oh, but Mao doesn't see or hear Hal right now. Instead, he sees Aurum, somehow managing to block his blow, hears him say, 'Is that all you've got? You're weaker than I expected!']

Shut up! I'll show you who's weak, Super Hero! Ice!

[Hal may want to find a way to run or otherwise block that attack, because if he doesn't, his legs may get encased in ice, then the rest of him might follow.]

[The shield flexes, bows and then folds back around the Green Lantern in a surge of will, its surface shimmering with a molten heat. Flames flicker on its surface here and there, seeking oxygen to devour. The ice all but explodes into steam upon contact, dispersing in a hot cloud. Water sluices down the surface of his spherical shield, evaporating before it reaches the cement.

Well. He hadn't known the kid could do that.]

[Hey, when you're a Disgaea protagonist, you tend to have a few tricks up your sleeve, like recent regains.

But Hal clearly isn't breaking through to him. Instead of the Green Lantern, he sees Aurum, somehow managing to block his attack. And he doesn't like what he sees or hears one bit.

'Come on, Mao!' he taunts. 'Show me your strength. Or are you so weak you can't even do that?']

Shut up, already! How did you even escape from my lab, anyway?! I thought I made sure you couldn't possibly get out!

[What does he do? He's not sure what to do. Can he do anything? It's not his turn! Maybe he should dodge, not too hard he has a pretty good modifier for that, but no instead he counters! He practically counters everything after all.]

[Wow, Almaz is tough. Except right now he's seeing Aurum countering his attacks, hearing him lament, 'So much potential, gone to waste!'

And it just fuels his rage all the more.]

Just shut up already! I know you were in my lab, so how'd you get out?!
