Doesn't that require you to upload the kanji scripts from the windows disc? I'm pretty sure I tried that before, but I didn't have the disc, so I was like "Fuck."

No, I had to get something off of the internet to get it. The kanji shows up in a dropbox when you type in something that might use that kanji. Very neat, very simple/easy to use.
