The Sweet Drabblethon
Yatta! You all know the drill; time's up on the prompts. Now onto round two.
I've collected all of your prompts into a masterlist below. Same drill as last year - fandoms are organized alphabetically, and prompts are listed alphabetically by username. If I missed your prompt or made some other kind of fail, like incorrect spelling, misplaced fandoms or accidentally leaving part of your prompt out, please let me know.
I did change some formatting in places, for the sake of consistancy. Also, unfortunately two prompts had to be deleted because they were submitted past the deadline. Sorry guys.
This time around we had just a great turn-out as the first: 64 prompts in 35 different fandoms. Yay! Thank you so much to everyone who submitted a prompt and/or helped out by promoting the drabblethon, either in their personal journals or a community.

♥ What do I do?
Take a look at our prompt masterlist below, and find a drabble prompt you'd be willing to fulfill. Once you've found a prompt you like, leave a comment on this post making your claim. Comments will be screened, I'll edit the post to label it 'CLAIMED'; that way, no one will know who's writing for them until Sweetest Day, and it gets to be a surprise! (Well, alright - I'll know who's writing for me, if anyone claims mine. But I think we can all agree that's pretty unavoidable.) People who left prompts are not at all obligated to write, though of course it would be wonderful if you chose to!
After you've claimed your prompt, I'll send you a PM letting you know I got your claim. You have until October 16th to write a drabble for it, at least a hundred words. Make a post in your journal and send me the link in an email, PM, or just comment here again.
On Sweetest Day, October 16th, I'll make a post with all the drabbles and links listed, and everyone will get to see the lovely gifts you gave them!
♥ I didn't leave a drabble prompt. Can I still write one?
Absolutely! The drabblethon is open to anyone at both stages. No obligations or reciprocity required, only cheerfully encouraged.
♥ I really like my prompt, and want to write more than a hundred words. Is this okay?
I'm certain that both I and the recipiant would be thrilled if you felt so inspired. Remember, the bare minimum is a drabble; if you really want to turn it into a ficlet, or even a whole fic, no one's going to stop you. But that doesn't mean you should feel obligated to churn out more, either. It should only be about what you want to do. Just don't stress yourself out or bite off more than you can chew; the whole point of this event was for it to be relaxed, carefree and fun.
♥ I see a prompt I want, but it's already claimed! Can I also write for it?
Sorry, but no. It's first come, first serve on prompt claims. We wouldn't want anyone to get two or more drabbles, when everyone else is only getting one. If the prompt already has 'CLAIMED' next to it, please pick another. We have sixty-four of them; I'm certain you can find something you like.
♥ I don't see any prompts I can write for!
Let's pause for a moment and redefine "can". If there really are no fandoms left you're familiar enough with to write for, then I'm sorry.
But if it's a case of you not seeing any fandoms and/or characters you usually write for, remember: drabbles are easy. They're quick. They're fun. Consider this an opportunity to play with something you've never done before, something new and possibly even a little strange. You might just surprise yourself :D
♥ I'm finished and it's before October 16. Can I post in my journal now?
If you really want to, I can't stop you. But I will please request that you don't. If everyone waits until Sweetest Day to put their drabbles up, it heightens the anticipation and surprise for everyone. This way, we all get to see our drabbles together!
Of course, if you have to post early because you're afraid otherwise you won't meet the October 16th deadline for some reason (computer, travel, work, etc), we'll certainly understand.
♥ Can I write for more than one prompt?
If you really, really, really want to, I suppose I can allow it. I'd really prefer not to, but on the off-chance we don't get enough interested writers we can't really be turning people away.
But remember, 1) the more prompts you claim, the less that are available for anyone else, 2) keeping it one prompt to a writer increases the number of people that can play, and 3) you don't want to overload yourself. So I'm going to ask that, if you can't resist the urge, you don't claim multiple prompts at once, and you wait at least a day or so for someone else to take the other prompt you're interested in before claiming it as well.
♥ I lost my inspiration/can't finish on time! What do I do?
It's perfectly okay, calm down. Remember, no one should feel under any obligation to do anything. This is all about spreading joy and fun. If you don't show up on Sweetest Day with a drabble for your claim, I'm not going to come hunt you down. I won't even publish the fact that you claimed it; as far as anyone else will know, that prompt went unspoken for. I will request however that if you realize you're not going to be able to follow through at least twelve hours before Sweetest Day, you'll let me know so I can edit the post and make the prompt up for grabs again.
And if time is the problem, I'll say this. Ideally, I would like to have a master post up complete with everyone's drabbles by sometime in the afternoon of October 16th. If you can send me your link on time, please do. But I doubt anyone's going to come after you if you're a day or two late.
♥ I found my prompt already, or I'm not writing. What else can I do?
Spread the word! Tell your flist and/or any relevant comms! The more people we get looking at this prompt list, hopefully the more people we'll eventually get as writers!
