Sam headed over to his dad's office between his classes to ask about what the plans were for the weekend, and found himself standing in the doorway, just watching him work. "Should I ask what all of this is supposed to be?" he said.

"Your sister's birthday present," John said, glancing up from his work. "Assuming it works on Earth logic enough for me to put it together."

"I would have thought that something for a one year old would be...you know, not complicated," Sam said.

"You'd think so, wouldn't you?" John said with humour. "It doesn't seem to work that way."
