Would you date a woman who had kids from a previous relationship? If so, would you realistically see yourself marrying her? (This question applies to both if the ex/husband were alive or dead) I'm asking this of all my male friends, honesty is required ( Read more... )

As I get older, I don't think that'd be as much of a problem as it is to me now. Dealing with a kid is the LAST thing I want at the moment. Leading an active life--surfing, traveling, work, school--is what I want. Seducing a woman with a kid kills most of that--not entirely I realize--but enough to make it an issue.

Then again, I'm wierd. Not quite sure if I want to have kids in the future. This is at 22 though, and I'm sure in a year, or 5 years, or 10 years, my thoughts will change lots.

Thanks for your input. It's funny, I have another male friend who has the opposite view. He wants kids, doesn't matter if they're his or not. He has no problem with any of this (and he's only a year older than myself.)

As of now, I've got someone on each side of the fence. I'll let you know if I get a tiebreaker.
