It's foolish to assume that every man's a douche. More foolish still to assume that women are not. Men and women are both two halves of humanity, and both have just as much capacity for shittiness. Women take advantage of men just as often as men take advantage of women, they simply do it differently. Men are cruder, more brutal, while women more insidious, more vicious. The methods may differ, but they're still both people.
A favorite saying of mine is that relationships aren't 50/50. They're 100/100. That's probably one of the most important things I learned from Anna. After she said with complete finality that she truly wanted nothing more than to wed me, to be my wife, and then left me a week later. Because she simply couldn't get over all the pain I'd caused her, and vice versa, ad infinitum. Playing the "blame game" never works, because each party had to have done something wrong for a romantic venture to fail.
