Here is a story.

While I am not the most motivated or diligent of students, I have always been able to get by on some ethereal combination of luck, good looks, intuition, and a fairly impeccable memory ( Read more... )

man, if you were in medill, you'd have opened an artery by now. you tend to get used to the F's after 4 or 5.

I once got a 40% on a final paper that was worth half my grade. It was in an Anthro class, though.

Hmm. After a couple hours and switching from blasting Hum to Xela and Donato Wharton, things are considerably better. I'm still irritated, but meh. I'll pass the class. I hear he's an easy grader.

So yeah. Moral of story: I should stick to my normal idiom and brush it off. It's only a letter on a piece of paper anyway, y'know?

Anyway, thanks guys ;)

I got my first F this quarter, too. Boo. The class was Bioresource Management. I got a 47/100 on the final. We had to name 5 extinct species, which is really harder than it sounds. I was reduced to making up species and I actually got points for two of them. ("auk auk" and "zoa", the prof assumed I was refering to the "great auk" and the "moa"...ah of course!) Prior to this quarter I had a GPA that qualified me to graduate with latin honors (like magna cum laude). And I'm on an academic scholarship, so I don't knwo if I'm allowed to keep it if I have an F.
