Seems like lately I've heard quite a few people say they disenchanted with/less interested in/are not getting what they want from Live Journal. Makes sense, was a new fun technology and especially the early birds could easily be getting over it. But, I've been thinking a bit about what exactly LJ is to me as a whole and had one of those wonderful

Huh... I was under the impression that 'beck and call' worked the other way around... In this case, we would be at the beck and call of the television, as in we would do as it needed of us...

SO many people I know are so consumed by technology, often in the name of being social. A friend of mine (not on LJ) drives me nuts because he spends more time receiving/sending text messages, emails and crap like that than he does talking to me. When we've gone to dinner he's spent almost the whole time texting away cause "he has so many friends constantly sending him messages". I finally told him turn it off and pay attention to me or I would leave. I love new technology but so much of it is pulling us all further and further away, all the while making the world smaller and smaller. weird.

It is a bit warmer, but calling for alot of rain on New Years Eve and Day!!! Guess a WET NEW YEAR is not soooo bad!!!
