I planned to sleep in and get caught up in that area, and then I would still have the whole afternoon free to work on my grad school apps, and maybe even getting a few poems ready to submit. That's Denver? I saw that photo and was immediately reminded of Sendai, Japan, where I lived a coupla years back (http://travel.lanfear.com/showtrip.php?id=181). freaky!

My first thought as I was looking at those photos was how much it resembles Denver (well, except for the giant buddha).

I've made a mental note to try to visit Sendai when I get over to Japan.

Seeing this pic makes me realize how much I really miss the changing of seasons. I noticed it's getting colder here in Arizona, as I've had to bust out the light jacket. But I almost choked when I saw on the news that it's only been in the low 80's and high 70's during the day, even though to me it feels like it's 40 or 50. I guess I've become so acclimated to the weather that any little bit of change is startling. Still, it'd be nice to get some snow...hell, even a cloudy day would be nice.
