It's not cold of you to think of death that way. I think people should think of death that way to move on.

I am taking a class on death and dying, and we are discussing how difficult it is for most Americans to find the appropraite way to deal with death. Most other cultures have a set of behaviors that you are supposed to follow, and everyone knows when and how to do it. But in America, we don't have cultural norms towards it. So there is no one right way to think about it, and there is no one way to feel greif, and there is no right way to move on with your life. So however you manage this experience of death, as long as it works for you, is fine. DOn't worry about it seeming cold!
