I wish there was a store in my area that offered cheap but pretty/custom book binding, I got my hands on some neat books (and fanfics) that I would love to have as a hardback with my own customized cover...bound in leather *sighs dreamily*

My sister-in-law had some bookbinding classes at an adult education centre. I'd never give her fanfics to bind, though. O.o

LOL, I do have a few fics bound (in coil binding which is cheap - and ugly - and takes only a few seconds to do), anyway, it's different asking a family member/non-fandom friend to do it or a random person who you have never seen and most likely won't again and who couldn't care less about what's written inside the book while they focus on simply doing their job which is just one of many in the end :-D
