Been real busy with writing papers, but just wanted to update my journal to let all my friends know what’s going on in my world. Happy Turkey Day!
Holidays seem to grow and then shrink for me as well. We've had a dry spell for the past few years while we devoted our holidays with my mom. After she passed away, I had a year when it just didn't matter. I went through the motions, but there was this empty hole.
But this year, two years since Mom died, things just feel different. There isn't a cloud around, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. In fact, we're doing Turkey at my mom's house and my brother in-law and niece will be over to help clean up.
Of course I have twice as many holidays under my belt (ok, no loosen the belt a notch jokes) than you!
Call your Grandma and wish her a Happy Thanksgiving! I bet you she'd still love to hear from you.

P.S. I just turned in my final class project last night. Feels good to be cut loose, doesn't it?
