I think that while it may be useful to be able to put a name to what you're feeling and how you're reacting to it, it may not be particularly helpful to you for you to be doing this research at this time. You seem to be in a frame of mind in which your issues with eating are easily triggered, and though I know you're doing your best to make sense of all of this, I'd suggest that it might be a good idea for you to stop reading about BED (and depression and eating disorders in general) for a few days, until you're in a better mental state.

Greater understanding of your problem can wait. It can't wait indefinitely, of course, but it can wait until you're in a better frame of mind for dealing with what's been triggering you. What matters the most right now is that you're feeling very anxious and very down on yourself. And that needs to change ( ... )

I think it sounds like a good idea to do sth to make me feel accomplished. Actually, what makes me feel really good is to write stories and read them on tape for a friend of mine who loves to listen to my voice. It makes me feel like I'm realizin my dream (writing books), and even if the stories can be very fucked up, they make me feel more whole.

I also like to read bad fanfic and/or short stories by my favorite author, Alice Munro, for the same friend. I should do this today, maybe it would help gain a calm state of mind.

I think reading web resources on mental health is tricky in general, because there might be more information than you'r ready to absorb at that moment, and self-diagnosing can be a problem. I'll try to put that on hold for a few days and focus on other things.
