So for everyone that thought NebrasKon was gonna be terrible, you were wrong. It was worse. Attendance could not have been more than 200. It's on a college campus, so that sucks because of all the stipulations that go along with that. They had maybe 3 "events" going on at any given time, and each of those ran for 4 hours because they couldn't come

Danye and I considered going to NebrasKon but figured since all the previous ones sucked before we decided to go see "Jarhead" instead.

Ya, we need to get on JJR to get a convention going in Omaha and crush this NebrasKon business into dust.

Well, they are just getting started. I think it would be more prudent for JJR to work with them to make it better, seeing as they have already established themselves. Easier than starting again from scratch, no?

I had considered this last year when I gave advice at AnimeIowa 04 for their first con. Unfortunately I have seen a few HUGE holes in that I still have yet to see fixed - lack of planning. Alot of their decisions seen very rash and not well thought out, however as a new con that can be expected to a certain extent.

To put it this way - if I had 6 people willing to work their asses off, I have the numbers, contacts and vision. Until now all I had was Emily even express a little interest in helping staff and organize things but 2 people cannot lead the masses. (unless they want to go insane and run a shit con) Honestly, I'd be up for running a well rounded and FUN convention. Not the best con out there as there are definately better and more experienced people out there but a damn good con.
