Last week, Daniel and I went to Michigan to visit my parents.  On Wednesday as we went through security in Flint, the TSA person opened up my backpack to look through it.  He then opened my shaving kit bag which was in the backpack and found a pair of scissors from my clippers that I must have placed in the kit bag.  He takes it out and holds it up

Also, if the scissors were rounded and not pointed, then you should have been okay.
