Er, um, I seem to have omitted mentioning that we´ve come to Costa Rica. We boated around Tortuguera National Park (no turtle, no manatees, yes, gorgeous birds and fresh-water turtles) and are now in La Fortuna staring at the volcano. Steve goes to see more birds today, I fly on the zip wire

I had no idea you guys were going to Costa Rica! I hope you're having a great time! If you go by Monta Verde or Arenal, those are two of my favorite places there.

Snow

Glad you got out before you were up to your necks in snow! I flew here to Baku last week and our plane was diverted to Tbilisi, Georgia about 1/2 hour before we were supposed to land. The plane was going to fly back to Istanbul but we got caught up in the snow storm in Tbilisi. After sitting on the plane, in passport control, in the airport cafe and then back on the plane again, we finally went to the Tbilisi Radisson. It was heaven - but only lasted 4 hours before I got a call that we all had to be ready and on the bus back to the airport in 1/2 hour. So much for 2 hours of sleep in a wonderful bed! Finally got to Baku 24 hours late - we got home at 3am. Poor Myron spent the best parts of 2 nights waiting for me at the airport and driving through a white out blizzard the first night. I'm here now fighting off jet lag. Don't even want to go outside - looks like frozen melting mud everywhere. Have a great time in CR! Paula
