We used the real silver every day, until my mother got a dishwasher, and the detergent was said to be corrosive. I don't think that's the case anymore...

My brother and I squabbled over the good china..... we both hated it, so I left it behind, at his house! It's English....I forget the factory. It has bucolic scenes of castles, printed in red.

I have a few pieces of great Granny's Royal Doulton service. It's called, "Leeds Sprays", but we always liked to call them the "hand painted periwinkles", like Hyacinth Bucket!
