i haven't been watching grey's at all recently, but i know the gist of izzie's storyline, and i wanted to watch tonight because JDM was going to be on it in what he said was probably his final appearance on the show. unfortunately i missed the first half so i only caught the last few minutes and..

the writers distroyed the storyline for sure this season. They turned Denny into a messenger of death.

WHAT THE HELL?! what interaction did he and izzie in the episode have before the end of the show?

He did his whole "I'm here for you" thing in the beginning of the episode, when her hair started to fall out.

And Izzie also said that she loved Denny and always would. When Izzie told him to go away and she wanted to be alone with her husband, the look on his face was heartbreaking.

Izzie only sees Denny when the tumor in her brain flares up and tonight she saw him for the first time since her diagnosis, and since the last time she saw him, he basically told her he was there because she was dying, she knew seeing him now meant something else was wrong with her. Because she's basically on death's bed, her and Alex got married tonight and at the end, she told Denny to go away because Alex had just come into the room and she wanted to spend time with him alone.

ugh. i hate that this is how izzie got over denny. rather than naturally moving on, they made him a nuisance, and now a bad omen.

Like Izzie said in the episode, she now thinks about death and dying, when she sees Denny. It's not that she hates him. She does love him and will always love him, but everytime she saw him, it was due to the tumor. And now that he came back, she freaked out because she had a feeling that she had another tumor. And sure enough, she does.

I do hate the way they turned him into this symbol of death, though. They should've just left it alone after she found out she had cancer.

i even hate that they did that. they should have just left it all alone, they never should have brought him back this season at all. they should have left it alone rather than turn him into something she associates with her disease.

The whole thing was just upsetting. They ruined the beautiful storyline and have never been able to make it right. When they had JDM back...it should have been to walk into the light with Izzie.....just like they did in the first episode of the season. That's how they should have ended it.

Are we suppose to believe Izzie is going to somehow recover from this? They are going to get this tumor out now and she'll live but it will wipe out her memory? Come on......

that's what i thought it was going to be! shonda said that the first episode forshadowed the rest of the season... and i was thinking maybe she'd die anyway at the end of this season (she BETTER die, her condition is so severe that at this point it would be a complete cop out if she didn't) and that she'd see denny and still be happy, but now that they've made him into something she sees as negative, the whole thing has just gone to crap.

i have a feeling she will too, just because everyone on the show thinks she's gonna die. what a fucking cop out!

i'm totally down for thinking that too. it was such a gorgeous scene.. i can't believe it was in the same season as the crap we had to put up with afterwards, and this SHITTY ending. this is even worse than him dying!
