I feel sad this morning...

Not depressed or frustrated or anything, just...sad. I don't know if it's the weather (miserable, wet and grey) or the dream I had last night (I was lost and trying to find something or someone, I can't remember). It could be because it's Article 50 day today, or the fact that I'm reading a biography of Clover Adams and just reached the part

I have felt ^^ like that since the US election in November. I keep waiting for things to feel normal but again but it hasn't happened.

I think it's just...you have a particular view of the world, and then things like Trump and Brexit happen and it makes you realise that maybe you didn't know your world and your country and people as well as you thought you did, that maybe you were too optimistic and that people are a lot meaner and self-centred and mean-spirited than you thought...

Did you know that koalas sleep up to 18 hours a day and can eat 1kg of eucalyptus leaves in a day? Like if they could read, I'd be yelling SPIRIT ANIMAL!!!!! I don't know if reincarnation is real but if it is, I'd like to be a koala in the next life please.

I hope this comment has at the very least made you shake your head in exasperation.

I always thought I'd like to come back as a domestic house cat. Surely there is no more pampered creature in existence? No cares, no worries - sleeping, being stroked and petted, food provided for you, no need to work or strive...

A house cat is a good one too! Finding a nice, warm place to sleep the day away while your human is out - perfection!
