photo contest help
I'm trying to pick FOUR photos I've shot in West Virginia for a photo contest. This is the contest: www.wvexecutive.com/PhotoContest.jpg
A two-page spread in this magazine would be AMAZING for me, I reaaallly want to win this.. I am from WV and living in VA now. I'm quitting my day job in a few weeks and moving back to WV in June to run my business full time. I'm brand new to the market there and I am positive this ad would be a huge help for me.
They have to be West Virginia photos which cuts out quite a few of my faves since a lot of my work is also in Virginia. I think I'd like one of the four submissions to NOT be a portrait, and I'm leaning towards the split peas/beans photo (#3) because it was shot at the farmer's market so people might vote on it since they will have context. But ultimately I want to submit my best WV photos, so I may end up just submitting four portraits since it's obviously my strongest area.
I never win anything so I don't have high hopes but I am excited to try, it certainly can't hurt. Knowing my luck, someone with a selective color shot of a baby in a pumpkin will win. Just wait... you'll see. ;)
