Book recommendations:
Any book by Chuck Palahniuk (start with Fight Club, Haunted, Invisible Monsters or Lullaby; those are the more popular of his work)
Jennifer Government by Max Barry
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs

I've read Invisible Monsters and Choke, which are just amazing! I hope to read Lullaby soon :)
I saw the movies for both The Count of Monte Cristo and Running With Scissors and I'd really like to read the actual books.

I hope there'll at least be one song you like there :D and woohoo I have a tag! hee.

I definitely second the Rice rec, although I prefer his first book "A Density of Souls". Hmm. And Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale" is one of the best books I've read.

Are you kidding?! They're all awesome! In fact, that's like my music taste and I'm surprised I never gave them a try before. But yeah, thanks so much! Watch me go on a downloading frenzy now! lol

heee, I read The Handmaid's Tale last January, I think. Definitely a good book! I'll look into finding those Rice books. They seem worthy if two of you rec them :)

Yay! Proof that last.fm really does have a purpose (and works)!

Awesome. I wish I had more recs. All I've been reading lately's been school related though and uh...not really rec-worthy :/
